2. Establish and organize the membership and responsibilities of the editorial board.
3. Define the relationships and responsibilities among the publisher, editors, reviewers, authors, and other participants through appropriate policies and agreements.
4. Respect and maintain the confidentiality of information relating to authors, editors, reviewers, and other participants in the publication process.
5. Implement appropriate provisions concerning intellectual property rights, particularly copyright.
6. Develop journal policies and communicate publication requirements and ethical standards clearly to authors and other stakeholders.
7. Establish and maintain ethical guidelines for editors, reviewers, and authors.
8. Publish the journal regularly according to its stated publication schedule.
9. Ensure the availability of adequate institutional and administrative support to maintain the continuity of journal publication.
10. Develop appropriate networking, indexing, and dissemination strategies to increase the accessibility and visibility of published research.
11. Prepare and maintain the necessary permits, documentation, and other legal requirements related to journal publication.

2. Continuously strive to improve the quality, relevance, and scholarly standards of the journal's publications.
3. Implement appropriate editorial processes to ensure the quality and integrity of submitted and published manuscripts.
4. Promote academic freedom and scholarly expression objectively and responsibly.
5. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the academic record published by the journal.
6. Provide corrections, clarifications, retractions, or apologies when necessary.
7. Be responsible for the editorial style and presentation of published manuscripts, while the content, data, interpretations, and statements expressed in the manuscript remain the responsibility of the authors.
8. Actively seek opinions and suggestions from authors, readers, reviewers, and editorial board members to improve the quality of journal publications.
9. Promote appropriate scholarly assessment of research concerning fisheries, marine resources, and related fields submitted to the journal.
10. Support efforts to reduce research and publication errors by requiring authors, where applicable, to provide ethical approval or ethical permission from the relevant institution or ethics committee.
11. Contribute to educating researchers and authors about responsible research and publication ethics.
12. Evaluate the impact of publication policies on authors and reviewers and improve such policies to increase accountability and minimize errors.
13. Remain open to new ideas, approaches, and perspectives, including those that differ from personal views.
14. Avoid imposing personal, author, institutional, or third-party views that could result in subjective or biased editorial decisions.
15. Encourage authors to make constructive improvements so that manuscripts meet the journal's academic and scholarly standards.

3. Disclose relevant sources of funding and other forms of financial, institutional, or material support, whether direct or indirect.
4. Clearly acknowledge the limitations of the research, including methodological, data, geographical, or other relevant limitations.
5. Respond professionally and within the specified timeframe to comments, corrections, and recommendations provided by reviewers and editors.
6. Notify the editor promptly if they wish to withdraw a manuscript from the publication process and provide an appropriate explanation when required.
7. Provide a statement confirming that the manuscript is original, has not been previously published by another publisher or in another language, and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal or publisher.
