All manuscripts submitted to MARFIG: Journal of Fisheries and Marine Resource Management must be original and free from plagiarism, falsification, fabrication, or the omission of significant research materials. Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality, accuracy, and academic integrity of their submitted manuscripts.

Authors are expected to properly and explicitly acknowledge the work, data, findings, and ideas of others through appropriate citations, even when such work or ideas are not quoted verbatim but are paraphrased, summarized, or otherwise incorporated into the manuscript. This requirement applies to sources that are published, unpublished, or electronically available.

Failure to properly acknowledge and cite the work or ideas of others may constitute plagiarism. Plagiarism in any form is considered unethical publishing behavior and is strictly unacceptable in the publication process of MARFIG.

Before a manuscript is accepted for publication, all submitted articles undergo a plagiarism and similarity screening process using the Turnitin application. The screening is conducted as part of MARFIG's quality control and publication integrity procedures.
